I have been working in the travel industry for approximately 20 years and still find every day an exciting challenge, putting together unique personalised itineraries for my clients.

The travel industry is forever changing: introducing new destinations, new hotels, resorts, cruise ships, style of tours, therefore this is what makes our industry unique and exciting and my attraction to it. 

The other reward gained in being the owner and manager of Tamworth Travel has been the friendships made with our valued clients. It is a great reward when you have clients return from a 5 week European trip where the come in and tell you everything went to plan, no hiccups, we LOVED it! I also love hearing about our clients travels to visit family & friends and have heard some amazing stories pertaining to their family history.

I love growing up in Tamworth this is a great community and being the mother of 2 teenage children, Addison and Kalei, I keep reiterating how this area provides our children with great opportunities in education, music, performaning arts, & many sports.

I played netball in my younger days and now involved with my children's sports of netball, hockey and soccer.

 I have had the opportunity to experience some amazing adventures whilst travelling such as snorkelling with whale sharks at Ningaloo WA, rafting in Fiji, dog sledding at Whistler in Canada, riding camels in India, jetboating in New Zealand, snow skiing at Thredbo, enjoying a pisco sour in Chile, and seeing the gizzly bears in Denali Alaska, and stepping back in time to the wild west days in Dawson City Yukon Canada!

Other areas I have travelled include; West Coast USA, Hong Kong, Vietnam, South Pacific cruise, London, Europe River Cruise, France, Austria, Switzerland.

I love travelling with family and friends, I believe we learn so much when we have the opportunity to travel whether that be in our own gorgeous country , or abroad; and of course have loads of fun!

My biggest tip is “there is a big wide world out there, make the most of every opportunity you get to travel and don’t put it off, just do it!

Born in Tamworth

Tamworth East Primary and Oxley High School, Tamworth. Williams Business College in Parramatta.

After school - moved to Sydney (10 years). Travelled to the UK – London 6 months and Birmingham for 3 years. Moved back to Tamworth 10 years ago.

1994-2000 – worked in fares and ticketing for Jetset

2000-2008 – Corporate Travel in Sydney and the UK.

2008 - Tamworth Travel as senior consultant

Married to Anthony, who is from Birmingham. We have two children aged 10 and 6 years.

The travel industry is diverse and innovative and continually growing. I have gained transferrable skills where I can indulge my love for travel and explore the world enjoying what every culture has to offer.

The most exciting part about being a consultant is being able to make a dream holiday a reality. Turning strangers into valued clients, who continue to come back and put their trust in you to deliver that experience.

I love any holiday where I don’t have to cook or clean.

I play netball and I’m involved in my kids’ hockey and soccer. I treasure time with my family.

Apart from my original travel course I have kept up to date with in-house training.

My favourite music is anything that makes me dance and I love any movie that makes me laugh or cry.
